HISTORY Ancient Egypt is synonymous with the existence of pyramids and pharaohs. Ongoing
research of archaeologists uncovered the country's various stories in
the history of the magnificent grandeur of ancient Egypt.
Egyptian historians also had its pharaohs study to find the answer to a mystery that exists behind each mummy found. One
of the recent studies carried out on the mummy found in 1881 and now
housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo has helped a group of
archaeologists gathered a story of attempted murder, conspiracy to
overthrow the king and suicide.
Analysis
found that the Egyptian Mummy found with faces that reflect extreme
pain is believed mummy Prince Pentewere, suspected of planning a murder
suspect father, Pharaoh Ramses III.
Mummy
known as the "Screaming Mummy" and "The Unknown Man E" following a
wide-open jaw and facial pain shown, puzzling researchers since it was
discovered the first time and until after almost 130 years have passed.
"We
believe there are two opposite actions to be performed on the mummy,
one party and another tried to try to save it," said Dr. Bob Brier, an
archaeologists who conduct examinations on the mummy of this year.
When
met at Deir El Bahri valley, 460 kilometers south of Cairo, the mummy
was in a heartbreaking with both hands and feet tied tight, too tight to
former bond visible. Mummy's face wrinkled and his mouth open as if screaming for extreme pain.
Some
archaeologists previously put forward a theory about the cause of
death, saying mummy prince might be buried alive or poisoned, or maybe
one that is known by the name of Prince Hitite and live in the time of
Pharaoh Tutankhamen.
'Screaming Mummy', however, due to his non-Prince Hitite likely not dimumiakan.
"They
will not make it if they kill her son, but they will remove the dead
body," Brier said, adding that the theory that the prince was forced to
drink poison poisoned or not rejected.
A papyrus documents found tells about a hearing on the queen of Pharaoh Ramses III, conducted in the 12th century BC (BCE). He was charged with conspiring to kill her husband to be replaced with Prince Pentewere.
However the conspiracy immediately dismantled, and those responsible were sentenced to death.
Prince
Pentewere spared the death penalty due to his position as a prince, but
he was allowed to commit suicide by drinking poison.
Screaming
Mummies conditions show disrespect death occurs and it may imply an
accepted form of punishment Pentewere, if the story was true conspiracy.
"We found this mummy wrapped in goatskin. For the ancient Egyptians, goat skin means he is not holy. He did something evil in his life, "said Head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt Dr. Zahi Hawass.
"Pentewere
probably asked sentenced to death by drinking poison after the
successful assassination plot uncovered," said Hawass and Brier.
Screaming
mummy also found no sign of the tomb and this would prevent them from
reaching the life after death, another trusted him to additional
penalties for abetting in the attempted murder of his own father.
However,
Brier opinion Pentewere may mumiest in a hurry because the brain and
internal organs are not removed, but her body was not even dry enough. In addition to the methods used to mumiest also very rough.
"After
the brain is removed, the resin will be inserted into the cavity of the
skull, but in the case of Mumia Scream, showed no resin is poured into his skull. It is apparent that the work is done half-heartedly mumiest Pentewere or desperate, "he said.
The question arises as to why the body Pentewere not so easily removed without mumiest?
"A person may influence sympathetic and want dead Pentewere mumiest and not so easily eliminated.
"For
some reason, there are those who want to ensure Pentewere not find life
after death and the other, a person who is sympathetic to it, against
the attempt," he said.
Meanwhile,
another group of archaeologists say Screaming Mummies assumption is
Prince Pentewere still a speculation and so far only scan test performed
on the Mummy.
Hawass said he plans to conduct DNA tests to confirm the Screaming Mummy relationship with Ramses III.
